• May 01 2009 Step Up Women's Network to Honor Marcia Cross at 2009 Inspiration Awards

tep Up Women's Network announced today that it will honor Marcia Cross, Lisa Ling, NBC Universal's Lauren Zalaznick, and corporate honoree The Container Store at its annual Inspiration Awards event at the Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills on June 5. The fundraising luncheon celebrates philanthropic accomplishment, honoring influencers, executives and Step Up members and teens alike.

"We're truly excited to honor impressive women and businesses who are trailblazers for the new generation of female philanthropists," said Step Up Founder and Interim Executive Director Kaye Popofsky Kramer. "The Inspiration Awards showcases the important work of Step Up, an organization that strives to be on the cutting edge of women's social philanthropy just like our 2009 honorees. When women come together for a greater cause, lives change, as we see with the teen girls we serve."

Television personalities Tori Spelling, Diana Nyad and Constance Ramos will serve as on-stage presenters for the Inspiration Awards. The event's host committee includes Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Tova Bonem, Jane Buckingham, Lacey Chabert, Carla Christofferson, Rachael Leigh Cook, Liz Dennery Sanders, Theresa Durham, JoAnna Garcia, Mary Alice Haney, Robbin Itkin, Ashley Jones, Carri McClure, Heather McPhail Sridharan, Sarah Jane Morris, Elizabeth Pagliarini, Michele Promaulayko, Diane Reichenberger, Elisabeth Rohm, Lisa Shotland, Heidi Slan, Aisha Tyler, Nancy Utley, Lesley Ann Warren, Andrea Wong, Jane Wurwand and May Yeung.

The star-studded afternoon features an ARCADE by Rochelle Gores fashion show in support of cervical cancer awareness and will include an appearance by cervical cancer survivor and maternity designer Liz Lange.
